Fly 03:40
Fly Fly away and don't look back You can go almost anyplace if you'll only take the chance Ready, set, it's time to go and you will find that you're on your way There's no time to hesitate, and there is no reason to delay Rev up to top speed And take to the sky Now you can be free Leave the past behind Now's the time, get it in gear and make the most of the life you have Shake of all of your doubt and fear and have a time that is really grand Fly Fly away Fly Go today

Photographs 03:18
Shredded bits of paper come raining down Onto the frozen ground Torn from the photo book, from that place and time Nobody can put them back together I know that it isn't fair to act like it was nothing Act like I wasn't torn apart I'll pretend I didn't care, I'll throw away our history Like these photos blown in the air CHORUS Someday you'll be the lonely one Believe me, the past is gone I know you'll see I was the one It's too late, over and done All of the good times that have come and gone Well now they're gone for good All of the smiles and laughs captured by the lens Throw them in the dust and then forget them Like some kind of old parade with ticker-tape confetti Pouring down on the roaring crowd Bits of memories we made, I tell myself forget them They're already starting to fade CHORUS

The Flood 05:00
Outside under swollen skies When the creek began to rise... In our town this girl lived, never knew her name But she would always hang around Out there past the truck stop, out front of her trailer Hours sitting on the ground When the river began to swell No one seemed to notice if she needed help Or even if she was out there With the water rising, I knew there was trouble I could feel it in the air We had almost made it, and when we arrived I saw her trying to hold on It happened so fast when I was reaching for her In an instant she was gone And just like that, it was over Last thing I saw of her was the shadow of a smile Under her lonely frown Guess I'll never know why she didn't look afraid As the water dragged her down

Inside 03:50
Take some time in the day, before it slips away Quiet has some things to say Time it comes and it goes, in ways that no one knows Sooner than you might suppose Pulled on by time and tide, and looking for a guide When the answer is inside Don't get lost in your head, with problems it has bred Let your worries go instead

about

This album was recorded throughout 2022. It is mostly new music and a few tracks I had released on social media previously that I wanted to substantially rework and rerecord. I wrote all the music and recorded or programmed all the parts.
